Couple's Umrah Retreat

A meaningful trip together — worship, food, and shared moments

Relaxed & intentionalcouple11 stops

Umrah as a couple is a unique opportunity to share something spiritually profound. The worship, the walking, the meals, the conversations between prayers — they build a shared experience that strengthens a marriage in ways a regular holiday doesn't. This itinerary balances togetherness with individual reflection.

  • Married couples doing Umrah together
  • Newlyweds combining Umrah with a honeymoon trip
  • Couples who want structure without feeling like they're on a rigid tour

A note on prayer spaces: Men and women pray in separate sections at the Haram. Plan meeting points in advance — "after prayer, meet outside of Dar Al Tawhid hotel" works better than trying to find each other in a crowd of 100,000.

Afternoon

Arrive & Settle Together

Check into a hotel with Haram views if budget allows — watching the Kaaba from your window at night is worth the premium. Freshen up and walk to the Haram for your first prayer.

Evening

Umrah Together

Complete Umrah side by side. Move at the pace of whoever is slower. Make du'a for each other during tawaf — praying for your spouse at the Kaaba is one of the most powerful things you can do. Finish with haircut/trim and celebrate with a nice dinner.

Morning

Fajr & Sunrise

Wake for Fajr and walk to the Haram together in the pre-dawn quiet. Pray in your respective sections — men and women pray separately at the Haram. Agree on a meeting point and time beforehand. After prayer, meet outside and walk back together as the city wakes up. The shared morning routine becomes its own ritual.

Afternoon

Makkah History Walk

After rest, walk through Makkah's historical sites together — the birthplace of the Prophet ﷺ, Dar al-Arqam, and the old streets that witnessed the earliest days of Islam. Walking side by side through these narrow lanes, sharing reflections, is a different kind of intimacy.

Evening

Sky Musalla & Dinner

Visit the Sky Musalla in Jabal Omar — a rooftop prayer space with panoramic views of the Haram and the mountains. Pray Maghrib here together if timing allows. Note: the Sky Musalla is exclusive to Address Jabal Omar hotel guests — the lifts require a hotel key card and security will turn away non-guests. Then dinner at Mado in the Clock Tower for Turkish food with Haram views, or Al Ruwad inside the Swissotel. A proper sit-down dinner — not rushed, not standing — is rare in Makkah. Make it happen at least once.

Exploring Mashaer Together

Hire a car and drive through the Mashaer — Mina, Muzdalifah, and the Plain of Arafat. Outside Hajj season, these vast landscapes are nearly empty. Stand together at Jabal Rahma where the Prophet ﷺ delivered his Farewell Sermon. Walking through Mina's empty tent city as a couple, reflecting on Hajj and your future together — it's a shared experience you won't forget.

Afternoon

Kiswa Factory Visit

Visit the Kiswa Factory to see how the Kaaba's cover is woven, dyed, and embroidered. The craftsmanship is extraordinary — gold and silver threads on black silk. Watching this together creates a shared memory around the Kiswa that will surface every time you see it on the Kaaba.

Individual Worship Time

Spend the morning in separate parts of the Haram. He goes to the men's section near the Kaaba; she goes to the women's area. Pray, read Quran, and make personal du'a independently. Meet afterward for breakfast. Some of the most meaningful conversations of the trip happen after solo worship.
