Makkah Hotels by Loyalty Program

Earn and redeem points — every hotel mapped to its rewards program

Share

If you're sitting on a stack of hotel loyalty points, Makkah is one of the best places to use them. Peak-season room rates in this city are among the highest in the world — Ramadan pricing can easily hit four figures a night — so redeeming points here gives you outsized value. The trick is knowing which hotels belong to which program, because the branding isn't always obvious. A "Jabal Omar" hotel could be Marriott, Hilton, or Jumeirah depending on which building you're looking at.

We've mapped 16 hotels across the four major loyalty programs — Accor ALL, Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, and IHG One Rewards — with approximate points ranges so you can plan your redemption. All four programs use dynamic pricing, so the ranges below reflect typical off-peak to peak estimates.

Accor ALL

Accor has the largest footprint in Makkah by a wide margin. Six properties, including some of the most iconic addresses in the city. If you've been collecting ALL points through Accor Live Limitless, you have more options here than any other program.

Fairmont Clock Royal Tower — The building you've seen in every Makkah photo. Underground access to the Haram means you never step outside. The most premium Accor option in the city, and points redemptions here deliver serious value during peak season.

Pullman ZamZam — Directly overlooking the Haram from the Clock Tower complex. Strong mid-luxury option that tends to price lower on points than the Fairmont while offering a similar location.

Mövenpick Hajar Tower — Another Clock Tower property with that unbeatable 100m proximity. Known for solid family-friendly service and the best chocolate hour in Makkah (a Mövenpick tradition).

Raffles Makkah Palace — Suite-only property in the Clock Tower complex. The highest-rated hotel in our reviews. Butler service, Haram views, and the kind of experience that makes the trip feel special. Rarely available on points, but when it is, book immediately.

Swissôtel Makkah — Part of the Clock Tower complex with direct Haram access via the shopping mall level. Reliable and well-maintained, hitting a good middle ground between price and quality.

Swissotel Al Maqam — The sister property next door. Very similar experience to Swissôtel Makkah with slight differences in room layout. Often the easier one to find award availability for.

Marriott Bonvoy

Four Marriott properties span the full price spectrum — from the premium Marriott Jabal Omar to the budget-friendly Four Points out in Al Naseem. Bonvoy members with elite status will get the most mileage at the Marriott and Le Meridien, where upgrades and late checkout are more consistently honoured. A major perk: all Bonvoy members get the 5th night free on award stays — book 5 nights on points and you only pay for 4.

Jabal Omar Marriott — The flagship Bonvoy property in Makkah, sitting in the heart of the Jabal Omar development. Excellent proximity and a reliable Bonvoy experience with elite benefits consistently honoured. Expect ~50K-85K pts/night depending on season.

Sheraton Makkah Jabal Al Kaaba — Just 150m from the Haram with an old-school Sheraton vibe. The location punches above the price class. A solid mid-range pick if you want Bonvoy benefits without the Marriott pricing.

Le Meridien Makkah — Close to the Haram with convenient ramp access from the main road. Competitive pricing makes it the best-value Bonvoy option in central Makkah, typically ~25K-40K pts/night.

Four Points by Sheraton — The budget Bonvoy option, but it's 9km out in Al Naseem — you'll need transport to reach the Haram. Best for travellers who prioritise points earning on a budget and don't mind the commute.

Hilton Honors

Hilton has planted four properties across the Jabal Omar development, giving Honors members a range from the premium Conrad to the value-oriented DoubleTree. Diamond members will find the Conrad particularly rewarding for upgrades. Honors members with Silver status or above also get the 5th night free on award stays — and Silver is easy to earn (just 4 stays or automatic with a Hilton credit card).

Jabal Omar Conrad — The premium Hilton offering in Makkah. Refined service, modern design, and 300m from the Haram. This is where Diamond status pays off — suite upgrades and executive lounge access are consistently delivered.

Hilton Suites Jabal Omar — All-suite property that's excellent for families or longer stays. The extra space makes a real difference when you're spending a week or more in Makkah.

Hilton Makkah Convention — The largest Hilton in the Jabal Omar cluster. Slightly further from the Haram at 600m, but lower pricing makes it a strong value pick for Honors members who don't need the Conrad premium.

DoubleTree Jabal Omar — The most affordable Hilton option in Makkah. At 700m you're a proper walk from the Haram, but the DoubleTree cookie and reliable service make up for the distance. Good for points stays during peak season when premium properties price out.

IHG One Rewards

Two IHG properties that couldn't be more different from each other — one is arguably the best-located hotel in all of Makkah, and the other is a budget option kilometres away. IHG goes one better than the competition: holders of an IHG Chase credit card get the 4th night free on award stays — a 25% discount that kicks in at just 4 nights, which is perfect for a typical Umrah trip length.

InterContinental Dar Al Tawhid — 50 metres from King Fahad Gate. The closest hotel to the Haram that we've reviewed. If you're an IHG loyalist, this is one of the best points redemptions in the entire programme globally — the cash rates during Ramadan are astronomical, making the points-to-value ratio exceptional.

Voco Makkah — At 1.5km out, this is a budget IHG property that won't win any location awards. But if you're accumulating IHG points and want an affordable base, it does the job. Shuttle service helps bridge the gap.

A note on points value

Makkah hotels have some of the highest cash rates in the world during Ramadan — often 3-5x their off-peak pricing. This means loyalty point redemptions during peak periods can deliver exceptional value, sometimes exceeding 2-3 cents per point. If you're deciding when to use your points, Makkah during peak season is one of the best opportunities in the global hotel loyalty landscape.
