Mado is more than just a dessert stop — it's one of the best places in Makkah for proper Turkish food. The food quality is genuinely good by Makkah standards, and with two convenient locations, it's easy to fit into your trip.

Two locations

Clock Tower — the flagship spot with views of the Haram from the seating area. Premium pricing but the view makes it worth it, especially after Isha.

Jabal Omar Mall (ground floor) — a more accessible option in the Jabal Omar complex. Same menu, slightly less hectic than the Clock Tower branch.

What to order

Mixed Grill — a generous platter of kebabs, adana, and grilled meats. Genuinely well-prepared and one of the better Turkish mains you'll find in Makkah.

Turkish Breakfast Spread — generous plate with cheese, olives, eggs, honey, and fresh bread. A proper start to the day.

Iskender Kebab — tender lamb on bread with tomato sauce and yoghurt. A Mado classic.

Turkish Ice Cream — stretchy, chewy, and unlike anything else you'll find nearby. Still the signature dessert.

Baklava Selection — authentic and well-made, hard to stop at one piece.

Kunafa — solid pick to pair with a Turkish coffee after prayer.

Our take

Don't just come for dessert — Mado's Turkish food is surprisingly good for Makkah. The mixed grill and breakfast spread are standouts. Yes, you're paying for the brand and the location, but the food quality justifies it more than most tourist-area restaurants. The Clock Tower branch is the experience; Jabal Omar is the practical choice when you just want a good meal.
