At a glance
Tucked inside the Hira Cultural District at the base of Jabal Nur — the mountain where the first Quranic revelation was received — Hira Cafe (مقهى حراء) is one of Makkah's most atmospheric spots for coffee and breakfast.
What to order
Morning Deal — coffee + dessert for just 20 SAR, available 8 AM to 4 PM. Hard to beat.
Pistachio Latte — rich and nutty, pairs well with the mountain air.
Karak Tea — warm and spiced, perfect after an early morning hike.
Fresh Pastries — baked daily, best enjoyed on the terrace with the view.
Our take
This isn't just a café — it's an experience. The floor-to-ceiling glass panels frame the mountains, the architecture echoes traditional Hijazi stonework, and by evening the fresh pastries drift between tables. If you're hiking up to Cave Hira, stop here before or after. The 20 SAR morning combo is exceptional value.
