Mama Ghazzel is a counter rather than a dining room. You order at the till and eat in the shared food court, which is exactly what makes it useful: it trades from the retail levels of the Abraj Al Bait complex, a few minutes from the Haram courtyards, so a hot plate of food never costs you more than a short walk between prayers.

The menu is broader than the name suggests. Alongside the grills and shawarma there is a rice section built around mandi and kabsa, an Arabic breakfast list, and a full page of Italian style pizzas, which is worth knowing if half your group wants one thing and half wants the other. On the company's own published menu, sandwiches and shawarma sit at roughly SAR 20 to 60, while rice plates and mandi mains run closer to SAR 45 to 125, with large sharing platters above that.

The company also lists a second outlet on another Clock Tower floor and one at Jabal Omar, where it trades from the mall food court. Opening hours are not published and vary by branch, so check before you count on it late at night.
